Macaroni and cheese (Stove top method)

Ingredients:

1 cup elbow macaroni

1 cup American cheese loaf (Velveeta) cut into cubes

1 tablespoon chopped onion

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

3/4 cup milk.

1 tablespoon flour

1 pinch ground pepper

Step 1: In a large cooking pot bring 6 cups of water to boil, add 1 tablespoon cooking oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt to boiling water and stir in macaroni.

Step 2: Cook and stir until tender-drain in colander and rinse with cold water.

Step 3: In a medium sauce pan saute chopped onions in 2 tablespoons butter on high.

Step 4: Add a pinch of pepper and sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of flour, stir into paste and add all the milk at once.

Step 5: Bring sauce to a boil-reduce heat to medium-low and continue to stir until sauce thickens.

Step 6: Add cubed cheese and reduce heat to low.

Step 7: Continue to stir until all the chunks of cheese have melted.

Step 8: Carefully fold in cooked macaroni coating thoroughly serve warm. Enjoy!
